Your Role
Here, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of one of the world's most advanced aircraft systems. You will play a central role in integrating and installing mission systems in our aircraft. At Special Mission Regional Aircraft, we develop and maintain Airborne Early Warning Systems (AEW) and maintain Saab's civil aircraft. System Installation is responsible for integrating and installing the various systems and modifications that arise in operations. Here, you will have the opportunity to broaden your role and take on new areas of responsibility over time. It is possible to move towards a leadership role or a technical leadership role. Additionally, there are several lateral paths available within, for example, improvement work as well as innovation and technology development.
As a designer within System Installation here, you will have the opportunity to work with advanced technology while simultaneously taking the next step in your personal development.
Your main tasks will include the development and definition of:
- Support structures
- Apparatus enclosures
- Wire harness routing and signal separation
You will collaborate and communicate with various disciplines such as basic aircraft systems, hull construction, avionics and system developers, strength, weight and balance, production engineers, as well as assemblers. If necessary, there may also be contact with subcontractors, partners, and customers.

Your Profile
We are looking for you who are meticulous, flexible, curious, and interested in technology. You will be part of a dynamic and professional team where collaboration and openness are central values. We are interested in you if you have previous experience.
We would like you to have:
- An educational background as an engineer or from other relevant post-secondary education.
- Knowledge of software such as Catia V5, Capital Logic, PDM systems, and Microsoft Office.
Meritorious:
- Pilot training or experience within the aviation industry
- Work experience as a designer, developer, system developer, calculation engineer, or assembler.
