Network Specialist in Firewall and Data Center Networking – Nordlo Jönköping

Nordlo in Jönköping is growing, and we are now looking for an experienced network technician with a focus on firewalls and data center networks. About the role

As a network technician, you will become an important part of our operations team, focusing on the operation, development, and management of our customers' network environments. You will primarily work with firewalls, data center networks, routing, switching, wireless networks, and security solutions.

The role is technically hands-on and suits you who enjoy working close to the technology but also have an understanding of the customer's business and needs. You will work both proactively and reactively, handling everything from incident management and troubleshooting to improvement work, implementations, and technical consulting.

Responsibilities

• Operation, management, and development of customer network environments
• Work with firewalls, data center networks, routing, and switching
• Configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of network and security solutions
• Incident management and in-depth troubleshooting in complex IT environments
• Participation in projects, implementations, migrations, and change management
• Proactive work on improvements, documentation, and security
• Close collaboration with customers and colleagues
• Customer dialogues both on-site and remotely

About you

We are looking for you who have at least 5 years of experience in networking, firewalls, and/or data center networks. You are confident in your technical skills and accustomed to working in complex environments where stability, security, and availability are crucial.

As a person, you are structured, responsible, and solution-oriented. You enjoy troubleshooting, analyzing, and finding long-term sustainable solutions. You have good collaboration skills and are happy to share your knowledge with both customers and colleagues.

You are curious about new technology, keep yourself updated in your field, and want to continue developing together with us. Since the role involves customer contact, we see that you are communicative, pedagogical, and have the ability to explain technical solutions clearly.

You speak and write Swedish and English fluently.

We would like you to have experience with:

• At least 5 years of experience in networking, firewalls, and data center networks
• Operation and troubleshooting of firewalls and security solutions
• Routing and switching in larger or complex network environments
• Data center networks and network design
• Incident management, change management, and technical documentation
• Troubleshooting network problems both on-site and remotely
• Customer-facing work and technical consulting
• Work in environments with high demands for security, availability, and stability

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

• Fortinet, e.g., FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager
• Certifications within Fortinet, e.g., NSE, FCP, or FCSS
• Ruckus, WiFi, and Switching
• Arista within data center networks
• Cisco, routers, switches, Meraki
• Network automation or scripting
• Segmentation, VPN, SD-WAN, and Zero Trust solutions
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
