Do you want to work with socially critical infrastructure and help ensure that the power supply works for some of Sweden's largest industrial companies and grid owners? Do you thrive in a practical role where technology, problem-solving, and collaboration are at the center? Then this could be your next opportunity!

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client in Sköldinge is an established player in the energy and power industry, working to develop, maintain, and modernize critical infrastructure for future energy systems. The environment is characterized by high technical competence and a strong focus on sustainability. Here, you have the opportunity to work in a socially vital operation where your contribution helps ensure a secure and sustainable energy supply.

The company is in an exciting phase of development and is now looking for a Power Engineer who wants to drive ongoing service and maintenance assignments. The company collaborates with some of Sweden's largest grid owners and industrial customers, offering a varied daily routine with both technical challenges and good opportunities for development.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Power Engineer with our client, you will become an important part of a team working with service, maintenance, and smaller projects within high-voltage installations. The role involves varied work at customer sites where you, together with colleagues, ensure the operational safety of critical electrical infrastructure.

The work primarily involves maintenance activities in switchgear, transformer stations, and other power installations. You will work closely with experienced colleagues and will have good opportunities to develop within different technical areas over time.

Your tasks will include, among other things:

  • Service and maintenance of transformers, circuit breakers, and switchgear
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance in high-voltage installations
  • Mechanical and electrical work in connection with service assignments
  • Participation in smaller projects such as the replacement of switchgear and transformers
  • Cable work and installation of new stations
  • Troubleshooting and technical inspections
  • Documentation and reporting of completed work
  • Collaboration with project managers, service managers, and other technicians

The work is primarily performed at customer sites, and travel within the region is a natural part of the position. Most assignments are carried out during regular working hours, but work in the evenings, on weekends, and on-call duties may occur as needed.

WHO ARE YOU?

We are looking for you who have a background in electricity, power engineering, or industry and who thrive in a practical and technical role. You appreciate varied working days, enjoy solving problems, and have a strong safety mindset in everything you do.

To succeed in the role, you are a team player who enjoys collaborating closely with your colleagues. You are responsible, meticulous, and not afraid to speak up when necessary. At the same time, you have a desire to learn new things and develop within the field of power engineering.

We also believe the following points apply to you:

  • Education in electrical engineering or power engineering from upper secondary school or vocational college (YH), combined with a few years of experience in the power field
  • Alternatively, you have acquired equivalent competence through several years of experience in power engineering or as an industrial electrician
  • Good technical understanding and interest in mechanical work
  • Good understanding of occupational health and safety issues
  • Fluency in Swedish and English
  • Swedish citizenship
  • Class B driver's license

It is meritorious if you have experience working with high voltage, switchgear, or transformer stations, but we also welcome you with the right educational background and willingness to develop in the area.

Does this sound like an interesting opportunity? We conduct rolling recruitment, so please submit your application today!
