Job Description

We are now looking for an engaged and driven Manager NPD (New Product Development) for our R&D department in Helsingborg. We offer a challenging and dynamic work environment where you will help shape future green technology solutions.
As Manager NPD, you will have the exciting task of driving the development of new products (NPD) and taking a deep hold of our innovation capabilities, with a focus on pure innovation and development.
You will lead a dedicated and competent R&D team consisting of senior engineers distributed across several different disciplines (electronics, power components, mechanics, embedded software, as well as testing and certification). You will independently manage an annual development budget of 2.5 million euros and be a key voice in our Steering Committees.

Responsibilities
Your main areas of responsibility:
- Change Management & Innovation: One of your primary focus areas will be to evaluate and implement modern methods, processes, and laboratory environments. The company is in a phase of change, and we are looking for you who has the ability to capture new ideas and drive development forward.
- Cross-functional & Global Collaboration: The role has a strong international character with frequent contact with Germany and abroad, including suppliers worldwide. You will also collaborate closely with our R&D department in India as well as our partners in China.
- Project Management: Lead several parallel development projects and ensure that the team delivers within set cost and quality frameworks.
Qualifications
Your formal qualifications (Must-haves):
- At least a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (M.Sc.E.E) or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Fluent English skills, both spoken and written.
Specific skills and experience:
- Leadership: Documented and proven leadership qualities. You have the ability to develop competence, build teams, and lead senior experts within technical disciplines such as electronics, mechanics, and embedded software.
- Product Lifecycle (NPD and NPI): Solid experience leading new product development (NPD), adding new features to existing products (PCoE), and successfully introducing new or modified products into production and the supply chain (NPI).
- Project Management: Experience executing multiple parallel projects and ensuring they are delivered according to set schedules, cost frameworks, and specifications.
- Agile Methods: Practical experience working with agile tools and methods.
- Technical Business Support: Experience working cross-functionally and supporting sales and product management departments with technical solutions to meet specific customer needs.
Strongly meritorious:
- Experience with power electronics and knowledge of products handling voltage levels up to 1000 V.
- Experience driving change management.
