We anticipate an increased demand during the summer and need to hire several people to staff the assignments. Securitas is now looking for security guards for Karlskrona and surrounding areas for assignments to protect socially vital operations in Sweden. This is an assignment for you if you are not just looking for a job – but are ready to take on a task with great responsibility and real significance for our country's supply and security.

As a security guard, you play a crucial role in maintaining the security of operations that are important to Sweden. You work with extended powers, often in close collaboration with our clients.

The work is varied and can include both stationary and patrolling security, access control, or work in a control room. We are looking for someone who has the ability to remain calm when others do not – and who is loyal to Swedish interests.

Security guard duties are carried out both indoors and outdoors, day and night. Shift lengths vary, but are often 12-hour shifts according to a rotating schedule. Since we operate in a business that runs 365 days a year, working every other weekend is common.

The position involves among other things:

• Protecting socially vital operations from robbery, unauthorized access, and other threats.
• Performing checks according to current regulations and instructions.
• Collaborating with staff and authorities on security matters.

Requirements:

• You must be a trained security guard (civilian or military) with valid approval, or a trained guard with at least VU2.
• Have passed grades from the first year of high school in Swedish.
• Category B driver's license.
• You must undergo and pass a security clearance check as the position involves placement in a security class.
• You must be available to undergo a one-week weapons training during office hours, physically on site. The training ends with a passing grade.

Merits if you also have:

• Previous experience in guarding protected objects, other security work, or security operations.
• Undergone extensive security clearance checks.
• Weapons training (HAS).

Clarification for military security guards: If you have completed the security guard training at the Swedish Armed Forces as part of the Basic Training (GMU), this can be validated for civilian use. The security guard training, as well as the GMU, must have been completed in 2016 or later, and your certificate of completion must not be older than five years at the time of application. You should have the documentation ready in your application, as it may take time to request it from the Swedish Armed Forces.

Security Clearance:

Note that the position is placed in a security class and implies that you will undergo a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to current regulations, security interviews, background checks, and register checks will be conducted. The assessment aims to investigate lawfulness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and potential vulnerabilities according to the Security Service's regulations and guidelines. Information collected may come from yourself, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment of you, your life situation, and financial circumstances when evaluating your suitability.

In some cases, a corresponding check may be made of the person you live with or have a similar relationship with.

To be considered for the position, the following is required (at a minimum):

• You are not listed in the Police Authority's various registers, e.g., suspicion register, criminal record register, etc.
• You have a clean financial record; no payment defaults, unregulated debts, listings with collection agencies, or the Swedish Enforcement Authority.

• The position is a part-time employment, but we are also hiring for on-call positions in this project with access according to agreement. We apply a 6-month probation period.

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, you are required to have passed grades from high school in Swedish and be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on Security Companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be required.

Salary and employment conditions are based on a collective agreement between the employer organization Säkerhetsföretagen and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
