Description

The Business Protection Unit is a newly formed unit with the purpose of bringing together the competencies that work with security, operations and continuity. As part of the work, the unit is responsible for the authority's command capability, with a focus on the development, operation and management of command posts and command post-related technology. We currently consist of one unit manager and four employees within the unit, and we belong to the Department of Leadership and Business Support.

Job Responsibilities

In this position, you play a central role in developing the authority's capability related to protected command posts and premises with enhanced command capability in accordance with the authority's strategy. The development work includes facilities, technology and systems for command support.

The tasks include, among other things, producing materials and leading projects to modernize our command posts and manage the mobile command posts. You will also work on further developing the technical and operational prerequisites required for the County Administrative Board to maintain a robust command capability. This may include protection of premises and operations as well as planning for the relocation of operations.

You will drive the work of producing instructions for commissioning, routines and plans for exercises, training and inspections. Your task is to actively work to build up a systematic approach within the area of responsibility.

In the role, you are the contact person for the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MCF) in matters concerning the development, functionality and management of command posts. You are responsible for planning the annual functional controls and commissioning of the command posts, as well as ensuring that the County Administrative Board's wartime organization is exercised in setting up the command posts.

Depending on your competence profile, you may also work with additional areas within the authority's business protection.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have education in an area that we assess as relevant for the position. Examples of education could be specialist officer in command systems, technology or security service, relevant education in societal security and total defense, emergency services or education as a security coordinator.

For this role, you are required to have:

• Documented experience of operational work with technical systems as well as experience of operation, management or development of facilities or command and communication systems.
• Experience of project management or coordinating/leading role
• Experience of working with issues concerning the development of command posts
• Experience of working with security protection
• Experience of writing and formulating as well as managing routines, plans and instructions

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience of working with communication systems and signal protection
• Education in or experience of working in TEMPEST-protected rooms
• Education in or experience of working with protection against emanating signals
• Civil or military security guard
• Instructor training within, for example, security guard training, HAS or emergency care

You are a driven, structured and development-oriented person. You are meticulous, can work independently and take initiative. Your knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing is good, as are your knowledge of modern IT systems.

Conditions

For this position, Swedish citizenship and a B driving license are required.
