About the role

Periodontology

As a dental nurse at Specialist Dental Care Halmstad, you will work alongside dental nurses, dental hygienists, medical secretaries, and dentists within our various specialties. This position primarily focuses on periodontology, but you may be required to assist in other areas during absences. At our clinic, you will meet patients with varying care needs and work within a broad treatment spectrum.

As a dental nurse on the periodontology department, you will assist both in the clinic and in the operating room. Administrative tasks, independent patient work, and other clinic-wide responsibilities are a natural part of your job. We offer comprehensive dental treatments, including traditional periodontal treatments, bite rehabilitation, surgical procedures such as bone transplantation, implant surgeries, and more.

Back-up Assistant Function in our Corridor

As a back-up assistant in our operating corridor, you provide support to the four operating rooms with whatever they need, regardless of specialty. You work in back-up assistant teams, and there are at least two people in the back-up assistant function responsible for four rooms.

The back-up assistant function includes, among other things, having overall control over materials and goods to be ordered and packed for various surgeries, material knowledge including implants and medicine boxes, filling dispensing cabinets according to pick lists, preparing the small sterile opening/closing during the workday, communicating with the sterile department, and performing administrative tasks, billing, scanning, etc.

About the workplace

Specialist Dental Care has a county-wide responsibility with operations at the hospitals in Halmstad and Varberg. We treat patients referred to us from other hospital departments as well as from private and public healthcare providers. At the specialist dental care, specialist training and further education for dentists are conducted, as well as training for dental hygienists and dental nurses. Research and development are seen as an important part of the operations.

The clinic in Halmstad has seventeen treatment rooms, four operating rooms, a special unit for jaw and facial radiology with five labs, a sterile unit, and a reception. Patient administration takes place in COSMIC and Carita.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a dental nursing degree and preferably a few years of professional experience. You should feel confident in your professional role and be adaptable to new work situations and routines.

We work in a positive atmosphere where teamwork and development of the business are natural elements. You collaborate well with others and communicate openly and professionally with both colleagues and patients. You are solution-oriented in your approach and driven by thinking in terms of improvements and development.

We highly value personal suitability.
