The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest administrations with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation – preschool, primary school, and child and student health services – we are here for children and students – together we shape the future.

Ankarskolan - Spannarps School form a joint school track together. Ankarskolan is a modernly equipped F-9 school located in Träslövsläge, southwest of the central town of Varberg, with proximity to the sea and nature. In the school's airy and fresh premises, there are approximately 570 students. Spannarps School is located a few minutes away and has approximately 25 students this autumn.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a school nurse with us, you have a meaningful and independent assignment where you are a key person for the students' health and well-being. You belong to the medical student health service and have close cooperation with both the school and central support functions.

Main responsibilities:

• Work promotively and preventively to give students the best possible conditions for learning and development.
• Be responsible for the student health service's medical interventions according to the basic program, which includes among other things health visits, vaccinations according to the child vaccination program, growth checks, and open reception.
• Be an active part of the school's student health team (EHT) where you contribute your medical expertise to create learning environments that promote students' health.
• Collaborate with students, guardians, and school staff, as well as handle external contacts with actors such as pediatric medicine and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP).
• Document the work digitally in the journal system Prorenata and ensure high patient safety in all respects.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who thrive in an independent role where you, with high professional integrity, drive and are responsible for the medical work at your school. You have a structured way of working that ensures that the student health service's interventions are carried out with good order and high patient safety. You want close cooperation with the rest of the EHT and to be part of our community.

As a person, you are skilled at creating trust, which makes you a secure point for the students and a natural collaboration partner for guardians. You see collaboration as a success factor and contribute your medical expertise in the team to together create an environment where every student can feel good and succeed in school.

We are looking for you who:

• Are a registered nurse with specialist education as a district nurse, pediatric nurse, or school nurse.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience working with children and adolescents within the student health service
• Experience with digital documentation, especially in the system Prorenata
• Experience with interdisciplinary work.

Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent employment.
Duration: Start date: 2026-08-31. Start date according to agreement.
