Psychologist at Enköping Primary Healthcare Centre
Are you a psychologist and curious about becoming part of our team at Enköping Primary Healthcare Centre? This might be the perfect opportunity for you!
Here, you will find varied and developmental work where no two days are alike. Within primary care, we meet people at all stages of life, which gives both breadth and depth to the role.
We are now looking for a psychologist for a one-year full-time temporary position, starting as agreed, with the possibility of extension.
Benefits and Development
At our centre, you are given good conditions to develop in your professional role. In addition to your individual development plan, you are offered:
- Regular network meetings with other psychologists in primary care
- Training days for competence development
- Introduction to our region-wide care process
You will become part of a large and knowledgeable network with access to support functions and specialist psychologists. We also offer supervision – individually or in groups based on your needs and wishes.
We focus on secure employment and good benefits through our collective agreement. Read more about the benefits here (https://www.regionuppsala.se/Global/Jobba%20hos%20oss/karri%E4rwebben/F%F6rm%E5nsbroschyr%20Region%20Uppsala_2019.pdf).
Your Role
As a psychologist, you work with mental ill-health and the psychological aspects of health complaints, contributing the psychological perspective that complements the medical and social perspectives at the healthcare centre. You work independently with adults aged 18 and over and collaborate with other professional categories at the healthcare centre and other actors.
Common problem areas that the psychologist encounters include depression, anxiety issues, sleep problems, pain, and stress. We work with triage, stepwise assessment, and treatment based on a region-wide care process for mental ill-health.
The work involves psychological assessment and diagnostics, counseling, treatment, and handling of referrals. Treatment is provided according to national knowledge-based guidelines, both in groups and individually, via video and in person. Our interventions include support for self-help, psychological counseling, as well as shorter and longer interventions based on patient needs. As a psychologist, you will be part of our psychosocial team consisting of 1 psychologist and 1 counselor. Supervision and training assignments for other staff may occur. Collaboration takes place with other healthcare centres in the municipality and neighboring municipalities.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist with a CBT focus and who want to make a difference in primary care.
You have good knowledge of diagnostics and evidence-based treatment methods, and preferably experience of working within primary care. Here, you will meet a broad patient group, which means you need to thrive in a job with a high patient flow where you vary between assessments, shorter, and longer treatment interventions.
You have good clinical judgment and feel secure in making well-considered prioritizations. You easily absorb and weigh together complex information and make decisions in a responsible and professional manner. For us, it is important that you have good pedagogical skills and that you easily create trusting relationships. You have a genuine interest in people and the ability to put yourself in the patient's perspective and situation.
We also believe that you:
- Collaborate well with others and are sensitive in meetings with both colleagues and patients
- Take responsibility for your work and drive your tasks forward in a structured way
- Plan and prioritize effectively within given frameworks
- Enjoy working both independently and in teams
- Have a quality-conscious work approach and see the whole picture in the operations
Here, you have the opportunity to contribute to both patient well-being and the development of the operations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
