We are all different. And that is wonderful! We do not hire people based on a specific mold, but on who you are. For us, drive and personality are more important than experience and background. Things are going well for us, and we are growing rapidly. Now we are looking for more cheerful employees with the right attitude and a desire to develop!
About the job
We are looking for you who like food, people, and sales and want to become part of our wonderful team at Willys Älmhult Handelsplats! The role essentially means that you contribute to our customers being able to shop for good and sustainable food at really good prices.
The position entails: Permanent employment, full-time. Probationary period applies.
Start date: 2026-09-01 or according to agreement.
Working hours: Your schedule will vary between early mornings, daytime, evenings, and weekends.
Requirements: Upper secondary education, good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written). We welcome applicants of all ages, but with reference to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations AFS 2023:2 chapter 8 and appendix 2, we do not hire persons under 18 years of age due to the nature of the tasks. You need to have previous experience from leadership roles, preferably within retail.
Here is a bit more about the role:
- You are part of the store's management team, with the store manager as your direct supervisor, and you lead and plan the operations in the Cashier Team. Naturally, you actively participate in the daily work of helping our customers check out their goods.
- You work with a clear goal to develop the store's sales, profitability, and other key performance indicators. You also participate in the work of creating and following up on the store's business plan.
- As the Cashier Team Leader, you are responsible for a very important part of the store, where we meet the most customers and have the chance to leave a good final impression. You are a role model in meeting our customers with knowledge, tact, and a big smile.
- You have personnel responsibility for the employees in your team and are therefore responsible for recruitment, scheduling, and onboarding, among other things.
- You lead, motivate, and develop your team and contribute to employees developing and performing to their full potential.
About us
For us, the right attitude and desire to develop are more important than experience and education. We work together as a team, as we see that true collaboration yields the best results – while also having fun at work. A bit more about us:
- We work with concept control and chain operations – there are clear routines and structures in place, and you will not need to reinvent the wheel. This frees up time for you to focus on developing your team and department.
- You will be offered many ways to grow and develop in your leadership role. The majority of our store managers have previously worked as team leaders.
- Willys is one of the industry's most successful companies, and we continue to grow. And because we are growing, you can do so as well. As a large company, there are many opportunities to develop in your leadership role with us, including through a range of different training programs.

About you
You like food, people, and sales just as much as we do! Willys is constantly growing and developing, and you like to do the same. You want to learn new things, enjoy being challenged, and are driven by taking on greater responsibility. It is also great if:
- You are driven by inspiring and engaging your employees, you are good at creating a positive work climate, and at continuously developing your team.
- You thrive in result-oriented environments where the pace is high, you have strong personal drive, good problem-solving skills, and do not shy away from making decisions when required.
- You like people, put the customer's needs first, and are good at getting people on board – both customers and employees.
- You are good at communicating and can develop your team and store through feedback and coaching.
- You need to have previous experience from leadership roles in a service profession, and it is a clear advantage if you have experience from the grocery retail sector.
