Job Description

The role of Junior Technician is new to our department. You will work together with our operational technicians on technical and maintenance tasks at our water and wastewater facilities. The facilities consist of a mix of traditional and modern technology. Much is controlled and monitored by various connected operational, monitoring, control, and regulation systems. Chemicals of various compositions are used in the process, which are controlled and dosed by the systems. All operations are monitored digitally via our SCADA system. We have many facilities, which are geographically spread throughout the municipality.

The role is included as a resource in our scheduled on-call duty, which means you need to be available for work around the clock during the weeks when on-call duty occurs.

The work is very free, and the tasks are varied in a small, un-bureaucratic organization. The Water and Wastewater (VA) department consists of 19 employees and belongs to the Technical Administration.

Qualifications

We believe that you, as an applicant, have a strong technical interest and education in workshop, mechanics, control and regulation, or have otherwise acquired relevant knowledge for the assignment. Our operations are being digitized, and we assume you have good IT skills. As a person, you are a team player who enjoys being part of a team with different experiences and skills. You have a strong interest in technology, the ability to see technical connections, and enjoy problem-solving. You may have worked with technology for a few years or be newly graduated. You thrive working both independently and collaborating in a group. Problem-solving takes place in a group, where it is important to coordinate actions with colleagues and have a high sense of consequence. You have the habit of finishing tasks before leaving the site. In emergency situations, you may need to help your colleagues outside regular working hours.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. You need to have a driver's license with category B, manual transmission, to be able to drive our vehicles. Security clearance may be required prior to employment.
