Our client operates a socially critical energy business with high demands for safety, availability, and operational reliability. The operations include a modern power production facility where technology, quality, and safety are in focus. Job Description and Responsibilities
As a Plant Operator, you play a key role in the daily operation of an advanced power production facility. You are responsible for ensuring that the facility is operated safely, efficiently, and with high availability. The role combines technical operational work, analysis, problem-solving, and coordination, where you work together with colleagues to ensure stable and safe operations in a socially vital business.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Monitor and control the power plant's processes, turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems from the control room.
- Follow up on operations at the facility through rounds, inspections, and functional tests.
- Analyze operational data and work on optimizing production together with other technical functions.
- Handle operational disturbances, troubleshoot, and make decisions to restore safe and stable operation.
- Participate in maintenance work through planning of shutdowns, issuing work permits, and participating in revisions and test runs.
- Be responsible for documentation, operating instructions, and the development of routines for the facility.
- Work in shifts together with the rest of the operations team.
The assignment is initially a consultancy position with the ambition to transition into a permanent employment with the client after approximately 6–9 months.
Your Profile

You are analytical, solution-oriented, and take responsibility for your tasks. You have an easy time collaborating with others while being confident in making decisions when the situation requires it.
Requirements for the position
- At least 10 years of experience working as a Plant Operator.
- Experience from combined heat and power (CHP) plants.
- Experience working in a control room.
- Fluent in both Swedish and English.
- University education as a Plant Engineer, Energy Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or similar, or alternatively several years of experience from process industry, CHP, shipping, or other advanced technical operations, or competence acquired through relevant work experience.
- Valid driver's license.
