Company Description
Vattenfall is one of Europe's largest producers and retailers of electricity and heat. Our main markets are Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, and the United Kingdom. The Vattenfall Group employs approximately 21,000 people. For over a hundred years, we have electrified industries, delivered energy to homes, and transformed lives through innovation.
Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant is one of Sweden's largest electricity producers, generating one-sixth of the electricity consumed in Sweden. Nuclear power has very low fossil footprints and is a stable, weather-independent energy source. Since 1980, our three production facilities have delivered climate-smart electricity every day, year-round. Today, approximately 1,200 employees work at Forsmark. We are part of the Vattenfall Group, which operates on the European labor market, offering fantastic development opportunities for you as an employee. Our workplace is beautifully located along the pleasant Roslag coast.
About the Role
Do you want to contribute to Sweden's electricity supply?
Forsmark Kraftgrupp is now looking for a Process Engineer within one of the following areas: Power Systems, Safety Analysis, or Core and Fuel within Reactor Safety.
The Safety and Quality Department works with auditing, supporting, and interpreting requirements related to radiation safety. The department supports the company's CEO regarding radiation safety issues. Our goal is to ensure that Forsmark marginally meets safety-related requirements and that we are driving the development of safety within the company in terms of technology, operations, and culture.
You will work within the Radiation Safety unit. Our mission is to, together with other units in the safety department, drive the development and maintenance of reactor safety, radiation protection, and physical security at Forsmark. This is primarily carried out through independent radiation safety audits and safety assessments of operational decisions.
You will maintain ongoing contact with authorities and build a broad network, both within the Vattenfall Group and externally. The role provides you with a good overall view of the operations and the safety structure of the facilities.

The work requires collaboration, quality focus, and adherence to procedures. We value traits such as responsibility, clarity, and flexibility. You thrive when working together with others and are happy to share your knowledge, thereby contributing to the team's development. To succeed in the role, you need strong communication skills and proficiency in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
