About the Role

We are now looking for a new employee in the Uppland area who wants to work to take the delivery of our fire safety work to a new level.

As a Fire Protection Technician, you will work in a customer-facing role responsible for servicing and reviewing products common in the industry, as well as ensuring inspections are carried out according to agreements and current regulations. The role is varied with a lot of practical work, such as servicing fire extinguishers and fire hydrants, but also other technical tasks such as new installations and repairs. In the role, you will also conduct training as an instructor in areas including CPR and basic fire safety.

The position is based out of Securitas office in Uppsala, and you will work within the Uppland business area. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00. Work outside regular hours may also occur.

Examples of your responsibilities include:

• Presenting Securitas services and creating conditions for new and expanded business through operational improvements in customers' fire safety work
• Conducting technical maintenance and risk assessments of customer fire protection
• Installing common products
• Conducting monthly and quarterly fire alarm tests
• Placing orders for products and services with our sub-suppliers
• Offering advice/audits to customers
• Assisting customers with SBA inspections (self-inspection)
• Creating and documenting in the customer's web tool for SBA (MPS)

This position suits you if you enjoy building new contacts and developing existing ones to ultimately improve our delivery to the customer. Most of the work takes place at the customer's site, but some administration will occasionally take place at the office.

Requirements

This position requires

• High school education with a passing grade in Swedish.
• Category B driver's license.
• Swedish citizenship.

We consider it meritorious if you have

• Educational background or work experience within fire safety.
• Experience as an instructor in first aid and/or fire safety.
