About the role:

As a KMA Coordinator (Quality, Environment, and OHS), you play a central role in ensuring that our production facilities meet legal requirements and internal guidelines regarding quality, environment, and occupational health and safety.

You will work closely with operations and, together with colleagues in the KMA field, contribute to developing structures, working methods, and culture.

The role is broad and covers both strategic and operational aspects – from developing management systems to supporting daily work in the field.

You will be responsible for several of our facilities, where specific responsibilities and distribution are shaped through dialogue based on operational needs and your competencies.

Your main responsibilities:

• Drive and develop work within quality, environment, and occupational health and safety
• Ensure compliance with legislation and follow and implement changes in legal requirements
• Drive and develop work with our management systems (including ISO 14001 and systematic occupational health and safety work)
• Plan and conduct internal audits, as well as follow up on deviations and improvement measures
• Handle authority contacts, inspections, and permit issues
• Support managers in risk assessments, investigations, and incident handling
• Be responsible for competence-building initiatives within OHS, environment, and safety
• Work with sustainability reporting and relevant requirements (e.g., CSRD)
• Ensure functioning system support for reporting and follow-up

The position requires you to be a structured and self-initiating person who thrives in a business-close role. You have an easy time building trust and can translate requirements and regulations into practical solutions. You combine an analytical working style with the ability to drive issues forward and gain traction within the organization.

The role reports to our Project and Sustainability Manager, who is part of the company's management group.

We are looking for someone who has:

Relevant education in environment, occupational health and safety, security, or quality. Several years of experience working in the KMA field, preferably within industry or production. Good knowledge of environmental and occupational health and safety legislation and experience with management systems (e.g., ISO 14001 and SAM). Experience with audits, risk management, and authority contacts. As well as good communication skills in Swedish and English.

Derome makes more of the forest. We harvest trees in our local area and process them in our own sawmills. Approximately half of the timber is exported, and the remainder is sold in our own building supply stores, as well as to our industry colleagues.
