About the operations

At the Building and Environment Unit in Hylte Municipality, we are 11 dedicated employees working together to develop our municipality in the best possible way. The unit is part of the Community Development Administration and is responsible for areas such as building permits, detailed plans, environmental and health protection, food issues, and supervision of alcohol and tobacco in accordance with current legislation. The mission is to ensure a sustainable and pleasant environment for the municipality's approximately 10,000 residents.

We are now looking for an Environmental and Health Protection Inspector for a project appointment where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the vision of an even better Hylte as a place where it is attractive to live and work. Job Responsibilities

As an Environmental and Health Protection Inspector in Hylte Municipality, you have a varied and developing job where no day is like the other. You work with supervision and case processing within the areas of the Environmental Code and meet both business owners and residents in your daily work. The role involves conducting inspection visits, providing advice and support, following up on deficiencies, and ensuring that legislation is complied with.

In this project appointment, the focus lies primarily on work with individual sewage systems. The assignment includes both fieldwork and administrative tasks such as handling orders, communication, and invoicing within various cases. You collaborate closely with both external and internal stakeholders, including politicians, in the work for sustainable societal development. The position offers a flexible work environment where you have the opportunity to influence the content of the work based on your experience and interests, as well as some possibility for remote work.

Qualifications

To thrive and succeed in the role of Environmental and Health Protection Inspector, we see that you have relevant education or equivalent competence as assessed by the employer. It is meritorious if you have experience from similar tasks, but we place great emphasis on your personal suitability, your commitment, and your ability to communicate clearly and pedagogically.

We are looking for you who:

• Have education as an Environmental and Health Protection Inspector or equivalent competence
• Are structured and have good ability to plan, prioritize, and take responsibility for your work
• Enjoy meeting people and have an easy time building good relationships
• Have good knowledge of relevant legislation and can make well-founded decisions based on this
• Hold a B-driver's license, as supervision and business visits are included in the position

It is meritorious if you have experience working in the case management system ECOS.
