Kungälv Municipality is looking for an experienced and engaged construction worker for the Sector of Urban Development – Construction Management.

Job Responsibilities

As a construction worker at Kungälv Municipality, you will work with:

• New construction and reconstruction of roads, pavements, water and sewage systems, park areas, and playgrounds.
• Traffic arrangements such as signage, closures, and road markings.
• Excavation, ground preparation, leveling, stone setting, asphalt paving, pipe laying, and cable pulling.
• Maintenance of signs, traffic arrangements, stormwater facilities, and civil engineering structures.
• Machinery and tool handling, as well as simpler repairs.
• Emergency measures in cases such as water leaks, storm damage, and winter road maintenance.
• Documentation through checklists, time reports, and quality documents.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role, we would like you to have:

• Construction training or equivalent practical experience (approx. 3 years).
• Category B driver's license.
• Operator's certificate for wheel loaders/tool carriers and forklift.
• Training in Road Work, CPR, and Hot Work.
• Experience in reading drawings, dimensioning, and setting out.
• Ability to work independently within your area of responsibility.
• Good teamwork skills and communication abilities.

Additional qualifications:

• Chainsaw certificate A, B, and C.
• Category C driver's license.
• Operator's certificate for excavators.
