Do you want to work in a technically advanced and varied role where you get to develop and optimize the technical systems of buildings?
We are now looking for a Building Technician specializing in electricity and automation who wants to help develop Magna's building and production-related systems.
As a building technician, you are responsible for building-related technical work in Magna's facilities, with a focus on electrical systems, PLC programming, and technical system solutions. You actively work on developing, improving, and maintaining technical systems such as cooling, ventilation, compressors, and other building technology.
The work is performed in accordance with applicable laws, standards, and internal procedures, and includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, improvement work, and participation in projects. The role plays an important part in Magna's continued development towards Industry 4.0.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, improve, and maintain the building's technical systems such as ventilation, cooling systems, compressors, electrical installations, and control and monitoring systems, including PLC programming.
- Participate in and drive electricity and building-related projects, collaborate cross-functionally, including participation in the company's electrical group.
- Further develop technical solutions and systems, including Webport, and adapt equipment in line with Industry 4.0.
- Ensure correct and updated technical documentation, drawings, and standards, and work systematically with preventive maintenance.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, cost-effectiveness, and good order in the area, including work according to 5S, and act as a mentor for new hires and temporary staff.
Qualifications
As a person, you are technically curious, solution-oriented, and structured. You enjoy analyzing problems, taking responsibility, and driving work forward. You work independently but also have good collaboration skills and communicate clearly with both internal and external contacts. You have a high level of safety awareness and a responsible approach to your work.
To succeed in the role, we would like you to have:
- Experience with PLC programming.
- Electrical technical education or other relevant education and/or equivalent work experience.
- Good technical understanding of electrical and building systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems in a structured manner.
- Experience in reading, updating, and working with electrical drawings, technical documentation, and maintenance and documentation systems.
- Experience in systematic work with preventive maintenance.
- Good ability to plan, prioritize, and work independently in a changing work environment.
- Good communication skills and good collaboration skills with various stakeholders.
- Good knowledge of working environment, safety, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Experience from industrial or commercial environments is an advantage.
