Månesköldskolan is a primary school (grades F-6) in the city center. During the day, there are 240 children and 40 employees here. We work based on grades F-6 with flexible group divisions. The unit has two after-school care departments. Månesköldskolan is a unit with a strong focus on knowledge and engagement, where the student's abilities and learning are at the center.

About the job

Do you want to help create a safe, well-functioning, and pleasant school environment for students and staff? We are now looking for an engaged and self-reliant school caretaker for our schools.

As a school caretaker, you play an important role in the operations and contribute every day to ensuring our school environments function in the best possible way. The assignment covers work at Månesköldskolan, Örslösa skola, and Råda skola.

The position is primarily 60%, but for those with the right competence, experience, and interest in working with children, there is an opportunity to expand the position to full-time.

Responsibilities

Work with practical tasks such as performing routine maintenance, reporting faults and following up on measures, simpler repairs of premises and furniture, as well as carpentry work. Contribute to order, security, and a good atmosphere at the school.

For those interested and with suitable competence, the position may also include direct work with children in after-school care and at school.

Who are you?

We would like you to have education as a property caretaker or another practical vocational education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience with children and education in this area is meritorious.

We are looking for you who are handy, service-oriented, and have a genuine interest in creating good conditions for the school's operations.

Since the work takes place at several schools, a driver's license and access to a car are required.

Permanent position 60-100% with start date as agreed.

We apply individual and differentiated salary setting. For the position, the monthly salary is between 26,000 and 32,000 SEK, depending on experience, education, and competence.

Certificate of Conduct

Before being offered employment, you as a candidate are required to show a certificate of conduct for work in any of the following areas: school or preschool, work with children in other activities than school and childcare, work with children according to LSS, work at or in connection with HVB homes, work with the elderly or people with disabilities. You order the certificate via the Police's website. The certificate must be presented before employment can begin.
