Description
We are looking for you with a burning interest in construction safety issues, where you are the one who not only ensures that processes work but also improves them.
Here you will have the opportunity to work both strategically and operationally and contribute to a culture where safety and well-being are in focus.
At the Development and Projects department, the authority's internal water and sewerage projects are designed and project-managed. In addition, the department manages contracts that are procured and executed by external contractors or ordered via framework agreements.
On the department, there is the Unit for Project Methodology and Business Development (UPPV), which you will join. The unit is a support function focused on business development, covering issues such as digitalization, project processes, follow-up, and OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) work.
Job Responsibilities
In your role, you are the coordinator for the department's planning and follow-up of systematic construction safety work. You provide support to the client (Kretslopp och vatten) in safety issues, and you are also involved in the authority's systematic work, both internally and in collaboration with other parts of the city.
This means that you:
- support unit project managers/building managers in their construction safety work, e.g., by participating in risk assessments and safety rounds.
- investigate and follow up on incidents to develop the department's systematic safety work.
- inspire and educate employees and managers in the field of occupational health and safety.
- ensure that laws and regulations relevant to the department are handled and communicated to affected employees.
- ensure compliance with the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations as well as internal routines and guidelines.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
A university or college degree (at least 2 years) or a vocational higher education degree (at least 400 credits) in a relevant field. Plus at least 5 years of experience in the construction and civil engineering industry as an OHS coordinator or equivalent, where the duties have included safety issues (BAS-P/U).
Alternatively
At least 10 years of experience in the construction and civil engineering industry as an OHS coordinator or equivalent, where the duties have included safety issues (BAS-P/U), along with necessary theoretical knowledge that may have been acquired through relevant courses/training.
For both alternatives, you must also have:
- Good knowledge of the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations and general advice (AFS 2023:3) on design and construction safety coordination – basic obligations. Relevant parts of the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations and general advice (AFS 2023:13) on risks in certain types of work.
- A valid driver's license for passenger cars.
Meritorious: Knowledge of ISO 45001 or a similar management system.
Skills and Abilities
Good communication skills in both speech and writing. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Flexible to work both independently and in a team.
