The Kitchen Department in Mullsjö Municipality offers proximity to both colleagues and the residents we serve. The Kitchen Department is responsible for meal services in the municipality's preschools, schools, and elderly care. Every day we serve well-prepared meals to our nursing homes, home care services, restaurant visitors, schools, and preschools. The Kitchen Department aims to provide children, young people, and our elderly residents with a good dining experience and inspire them to try new flavors and dishes.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for an engaged, creative, and service-oriented chef. Are you someone who is passionate about cooking from scratch, has an interest in healthy eating habits, and always wants to give that little extra to our guests? Then you might be the person we are looking for!

As a chef with us, you have an important role in the operations. You are responsible for planning and preparing meals with a focus on taste, quality, nutrition, and sustainability. We are looking for someone who enjoys working both independently and together with colleagues, takes initiative, and sees what needs to be done to create a well-functioning kitchen.

In this role, you will among other things:

  • Prepare and cook meals according to menus and the organization's guidelines
  • Plan and handle raw materials with a focus on quality, economy, and reduced food waste
  • Ensure good hygiene and food safety according to HACCP
  • Be responsible for purchasing raw materials and participate in menu and meal planning
  • Contribute ideas and creativity to the development of menus, dishes, and operations
  • Be involved in creating a positive dining experience for our guests

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who:

  • Are a trained chef or have experience that the employer considers equivalent
  • Have experience with purchasing and meal planning
  • Are positive, self-initiating, and solution-oriented
  • Have a genuine interest in cooking, nutritious food, and high-quality raw materials
  • Are service-oriented and have a professional and pleasant attitude
  • Have good teamwork skills and contribute to a good work environment
  • Have good communication skills and master Swedish in speech and writing
  • Take responsibility, see the big picture, and work proactively
