Lessebo Municipality is located in the heart of the Glass Region and has approximately 8,100 inhabitants, over 300 companies, and more than 1 million visitors annually. The transport connections are good, with commuting distance to Växjö and Kalmar. Our operations are based in the four localities of Lessebo, Hovmantorp, Kosta, and Skruv.

RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a new colleague who wants to work as a social secretary for economic assistance, as one of our employees will be on parental leave.
You will belong to the Individual and Family Care and the Work and Livelihood Unit. Here, we work with economic assistance, budget and debt counseling, as well as labor market measures. The team consists of a unit manager, four social secretaries, four supervisors, labor market handlers, and a coordinator.
You will investigate, assess, and make decisions regarding the right to economic assistance.
Through social change and motivational work, we work together with our clients to find paths to self-sufficiency. We have close cooperation with other staff at IFO, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and others.
We offer exciting and varied work with opportunities for competence development, as well as engaged colleagues with long experience in working with economic assistance.
As a new employee, you will be assigned a mentor and introduced to the work and the municipality according to our induction program.
The employment is fixed-term with the possibility of extension.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have a social work degree with knowledge of current social legislation. Experience in handling economic assistance is desirable.
It is important that you have a professional attitude, as we meet people in vulnerable situations. As a person, you are clear, responsible, flexible, and have good collaboration skills.
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
You must have a Class B driver's license.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: Start date: 2026-09-15 or by agreement., End date: 2027-04-30.
