On behalf of our client, we are now looking for a driven and internationally oriented International Sales Executive for their office in Stockholm. This is a unique opportunity for you who want to combine proactive, complex B2B sales with creating real social impact within the global education sector.
About the role
Our client is a Swedish EdTech company passionate about creating tangible social impact. They have developed a digital platform that makes life easier and better within the education sector, and the platform is growing rapidly internationally.
As an International Sales Executive, you will step into a role where you drive processes all the way from start to finish – from initial contact and relationship building, to navigating complex tenders with municipalities and the public sector in Europe, and finally closing the deal. You will have significant ownership over your pipeline and become a key figure in rolling out a product that truly makes a difference in the world of education.
What we offer
- An international growth journey: The opportunity to step into an expansion phase and directly influence the company's commercial success in Europe.
- Purpose and strong company culture: Selling a product that makes a difference in the world of education, within a culture that is deeply product- and team-driven rather than driven by individual short-term gains.
Key responsibilities
In the role of International Sales Executive, you are responsible for closing new business and developing the company's market share in the European market through a balanced mix of proactive and reactive sales efforts.
- Pipeline and business development: Identify, process, and drive sales processes towards decision-makers in the public sector (municipalities, cantons, and councils) in Europe.
- Volume and account management: Manage, qualify, and close a high volume of incoming business opportunities from individual schools and education providers in parallel.
- Bidding and tendering: Navigate complex tendering processes, including understanding regulatory requirements, data protection (GDPR), and technical specifications to secure new contracts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the existing sales and product team to share market insights and continuously refine the company's sales offering.
We are looking for someone who
- Has documented experience as a Sales Executive, Account Manager, or similar B2B sales role with experience driving complex business processes.
- Has experience with or a very good understanding of sales to the public sector or similar decision-heavy, tendering environments.
- Has the ability to structure your work and thrives on handling a high volume of parallel processes in a fast-paced environment.
- Speaks and writes English at a professional level (fluent).
It is an advantage if you have
- Experience within EdTech, academic publishing, or sales to schools, universities, and libraries.
- Good knowledge of German. Swedish is an advantage but not a requirement for the role.
To succeed in the role, you have the following personal qualities:
We are looking for an energetic, positive, and fearless Sales Executive driven by creating social impact. You are structured and have a strong inner drive, but in customer meetings, you are humble, receptive, and curious, with a good ability to adapt your business communication to the recipient's context. Since the company's culture is deeply team- and product-focused, we are looking for you who are motivated by common goals rather than individual commission hunting.
Our recruitment process
This recruitment process is handled by Academic Work, and our client's request is that all questions regarding the role are sent to Academic Work.
We apply rolling selection and will take down the ad when enough candidates have reached the final stage of the recruitment process. A CV is required when applying. We do not use cover letters as a selection method, so one is not needed. The recruitment process includes two selection tests: a personality test and a cognitive ability test. The tests are a tool to find the candidate with the highest potential for the role and to promote equality, diversity, and a fair recruitment process.
