About the role
We are now looking for a Communications Specialist for our client in the public sector, based in Upplands-Bro.
In this role, you will work with both strategic and operational communication, always keeping the message in focus. You are an experienced writer, preferably with a background in newspaper production, and will produce news content for all their channels. The assignment is broad and offers the opportunity to work with many varied subject areas.
Key responsibilities:
- Initiate and drive strategic and operational communication projects/issues within prioritized focus areas.
- Represent communication in various projects and develop communication plans.
- Participate in ongoing editorial planning and production.
- Write news articles and posts for newspapers, websites, newsletters, intranets, and social media, including fact-finding, compiling, and conducting interviews.
- Participate in crisis communication teams and handle larger events managed by the department, as needed.
Assignment period and scope:
The Communications Specialist position is a full-time consulting assignment (38.75 hours/week) starting on 2026-08-24 and is expected to run until 2027-01-30.
Remote work is possible to some extent depending on business needs.
Requirements for the role:
- University or college education in media and communication studies, or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way that the employer deems relevant for the assignment.
- Documented experience from qualified strategic communication work, preferably from the public sector.
- Strong interest in societal issues and understanding of the conditions in a politically governed organization.
- Basic system knowledge of relevant tools for press work, text processing, AI, as well as publishing tools for the web and social media.
- Good ability to express yourself both in writing and verbally in Swedish and English.
