Project Manager for Water and Waste Management in Ljungby Municipality

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the Technical Administration, you will find the Water and Waste Management Department. The department consists of 40 employees distributed across water, sewage, and waste management. The department has a turnover of 145 million SEK and manages 15 waterworks, 12 sewage treatment plants, 50 pumping stations, 80 km of pipelines, waste management, landfill, and recycling centers. We handle sewage and waste, and deliver our most important food source: clean water.

You will be the hub of the network, ensuring that work progresses from start to finish. You will collaborate with colleagues within the department and administration, with other administrations, as well as with contractors and consultants.

In the role of Project Manager, you will keep projects together and work on tasks related to investigations, design, maintenance, and renovation/new construction of water and sewage plants as well as pumping stations. It is an exciting and meaningful job where you make a difference for the municipality's residents every day!

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have relevant education with a suitable focus on water and wastewater technology or water and sewage treatment, or alternatively, you have several years of work experience in the field and have acquired corresponding experience and knowledge. You have previous experience in project management. Technical and chemical process knowledge regarding water and sewage is a requirement.

You have an interest in technical solutions, are driven by change and development, and are service-oriented and accustomed to driving projects from start to finish. To succeed in the role, qualities such as attention to detail, initiative, and teamwork are required. You are service-oriented, responsible, and flexible. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Swedish language skills (written and spoken), a valid driver's license (Category B), and good computer skills are required.

An extended background check may be conducted.
