About the role

As a leading cleaner at our school, you play a vital role in ensuring a clean, pleasant, and welcoming environment for both students and employees. You are responsible for the daily cleaning of the school premises while also having overall responsibility for leading and distributing work within the cleaning team.

In this role, you are responsible for planning, prioritizing, and following up on the daily cleaning work for the school, where you lead another team member. You ensure that the work is performed efficiently and with high quality, and you are responsible for the introduction and coordination of any substitute in case of illness or other absence.

In addition to cleaning duties, you also contribute to the operations by supporting as a kitchen assistant in the school cafeteria when needed. The role involves close collaboration with the school management to ensure that the school premises maintain a high standard and function well in daily operations.

The duties include among other things:

  • Daily cleaning of classrooms, common areas, and other school premises
  • Leading and distributing tasks within the cleaning team
  • Planning and following up on the daily work of the cleaning team, and creating cleaning schedules as needed.
  • Introduction and coordination of substitutes in case of illness or other absence
  • Ensuring quality and routines within the cleaning work
  • Floor care and periodic maintenance
  • Window cleaning
  • Refilling of consumables
  • Sorting and waste management
  • Adapted cleaning during school activities, meetings, and other events
  • Deep cleaning and major maintenance efforts during holiday periods
  • Supporting operations as a kitchen assistant in the school cafeteria when needed

The position is a permanent full-time employment. The employment begins with a 6-month probation period. Start date is August 3rd or as agreed.

Your profile

We are looking for you who have experience working in cleaning from similar operations, such as schools, hotels, healthcare, offices, or other larger operations where high demands are placed on quality, structure, and service. For this role, it is a requirement that you have previously worked in a leading position within cleaning, where you have experience in planning, distributing, and following up on daily work, as well as ensuring that the work is performed with high quality.

You have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as the role involves daily communication with colleagues, school management, and students. It is an advantage if you also have good knowledge of Arabic.

Since you will work closely with our students, it is also an advantage if you have previously worked in a leadership role in youth activities, or have experience working with young people in environments where relationship building, safety, and good treatment are an important part of the assignment.

As a person, you are structured, responsible, and self-initiating with a good ability to plan and prioritize work in an efficient manner. You thrive in a role where you take responsibility, lead the daily work forward, and ensure that operations function well even under changed circumstances.

Since the work takes place in a school environment, it is important that you have a high sense of service, good cooperation skills, and a professional attitude. You are flexible, solution-oriented, and have an easy time adapting to the needs of the operations.
