We are a force that connects, holds together, and develops the county. Within Region Västernorrland, we are all part of something bigger.
About the Role
Do you want to work in psychiatric nursing where relationships, quality, and long-term treatment are in focus? At the Forensic Psychiatry Regional Clinic, you will have the opportunity to make a difference for people with complex care needs while developing in a workplace where collaboration, competence, and patient safety are central parts of everyday life. Here, you will have the opportunity to work with long-term care relationships and follow patients' development over time in a setting where nursing, treatment, and safety go hand in hand.
The Forensic Psychiatry Regional Clinic in Sundsvall is one of Sweden's largest clinics for care under the Act on Forensic Psychiatric Care (LRV). The clinic also has the mandate to care for patients under the Act on Compulsory Psychiatric Care (LPT) and to receive patients from the Swedish Prison and Probation Service who need specialized psychiatric care. Today, the clinic has 135 care beds distributed across 10 wards and provides care with high competence and safety awareness throughout the entire care chain. The goal of the activity is to offer safe and individualized care that promotes recovery, reduces the risk of relapse into serious crime, and creates conditions for reintegration into society. Ward 98 consists of an engaged multiprofessional team with nurses, care assistants, coordinators, and unit managers. Here we work closely together and value collaboration, knowledge exchange, and professional interaction. The work is characterized by continuity and long-term perspective, which provides good opportunities to follow patients' development over time and contribute to sustainable care efforts. At the Forensic Psychiatry Regional Clinic, we work according to the contact person group model where you, as a nurse, have a leading role in a multiprofessional team. The work takes place at a balanced pace where time for reflection, dialogue, and quality nursing is a natural part of everyday life.
We are now looking for a nurse for Ward 98. The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date as agreed.
Responsibilities
You will receive an individually adapted introduction with regular follow-ups and support from experienced colleagues. For those who wish to develop further, there are good opportunities to deepen your competence through, for example, quality work, patient safety work, psychoeducational interventions, and group interventions. As support for your professional development, we work with a competence ladder. Your responsibilities include, among other things:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate care and nursing interventions
