Job Responsibilities

As an employee, your main task is to provide support, motivation, and care to our users. We work in a health-promoting manner with the aim of strengthening the individual's own abilities and ensuring that everyone who receives support from us feels secure in staying in their own home.

Involvement, development, and community are key words for us, where continuous improvements create the conditions for creating good quality. We work with welfare technology with the aim of increasing security, involvement, and independence for our users.

The job responsibilities include, among other things, personal care, support with household chores in the user's home, handling medication and wound dressings, documentation, contact person duties, as well as social and physical activities together with our users. We work in a team-based manner, which means that many different professional groups have the common goal of creating a good quality of life for our users.

You will currently be placed at the home care service in Husum. We also collaborate with nearby areas.

We offer you meaningful work where you have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge within palliative care, dementia, daily rehabilitation approaches, and transfer techniques.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant or have other education or experience that the employer considers sufficient. We would like you to have further education towards the elderly and/or dementia, or have an educational focus on psychiatry. Experience of working within care and social services is meritorious.

It is important that you enjoy and thrive working with people and that you are flexible and open to new ideas and ways of working.

For the work, sufficient knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing is required to, among other things, communicate with users, perform care documentation, and obtain medication delegation.

A valid driver's license, category B, and access to a personal car are required.

Before any employment, an extract from the criminal record register for work with the elderly and adults with disabilities must be shown to the employer.

In the welfare administration, approximately 2,500 employees work. The administration is governed by the Welfare Committee with the starting point in the administration's mission statement – "Together we facilitate people's opportunity to live a meaningful life" – we work to achieve the municipality's vision: We build best together.

In connection with the interview, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Approved documents are passport, international ID card, driver's license + personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency or other ID document that strengthens citizenship. For some positions, an extract from the police's suspicion and criminal record register is required. We welcome language skills in Finnish and/or any of the Sami varieties as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is included in both the Finnish and Sami administrative areas.

In our municipality, a number of positions are placed in security class, so security clearance may take place. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
