The Parent Cooperative Prästhögskolan is located just outside Klässbol. The activities are housed in a former village school painted in Falu red, with the forest as the nearest neighbor, a stone's throw from open fields where sheep and horses graze. The children spend a lot of time exploring the surroundings and nature, and the large, beautiful outdoor environment provides space for play and creativity. The children also enjoy growing and harvesting from the "children's garden". At Prästhögskolan, we want the children to be met with a safe embrace. They should feel the joy of social interaction with both children and adults, and we want to challenge the children in their learning through play and activities. The work at the preschool is conducted in close relation to the parents, and here we want both children and adults to thrive, learn, and have fun.

Prästhögskolan is a parent cooperative that has been operated as an economic association since its inception in 1988. The board, consisting of engaged parents, is responsible for the ongoing operations. The principal is responsible for the pedagogical activities, which are based on the Swedish National Agency for Education's curriculum for preschool. You will become an important part of the development of our operations. Short decision-making paths and an engaged staff and parent group create great opportunities for you to influence the preschool together with the children, staff, and parents, using the curriculum as a starting point.

The group of children consists of approximately 20 children aged 1–5 years during the autumn term. The work team consists of six people in total. The food is cooked by our own skilled cook and is organic and locally produced as much as possible. The preschool's opening hours are approximately 06:30 – 17:00.

Qualifications:

We are looking for you who are trained as a preschool teacher, where experience in pedagogical work within preschool is meritorious. You have a strong commitment to children's development and learning, as well as good knowledge of the frameworks and regulations of the preschool. As a person, you are secure, sensitive, and positive. You want to work at a small preschool in close collaboration with children, colleagues, and parents. We want you to be able to meet each individual child based on their needs and conditions. Knowledge in aesthetic areas is meritorious.

In the role of preschool teacher, we expect you to:

• be driven, take responsibility for your tasks, and have a solution-focused approach
• collaborate well and create participation for everyone to move the work at the preschool forward together.
• work based on the preschool teacher's responsibility as specified in Lpfö 18, rev 25, section 2.7.
• master the Swedish language and be able to communicate with children, guardians, and other staff, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for you who want to be part of our development work. With the children at the center and the curriculum as a starting point, you, together with your work team, are responsible for the pedagogical activities. You plan, implement, and follow up on the activities together with your colleagues to ensure that the children are challenged in their learning. You have the competence and ability to build good relationships with children, colleagues, and parents.

The Position:

Permanent position at 80–100% with a 6-month probation period. We are open to adapting the working hours to your wishes and our staffing needs, so please specify in your application which extent suits you best. An extract from the criminal record for work in schools and preschools will be obtained.

Start: August 3rd or as agreed.
