About Tegnérskolan

Tegnérskolan is Säffle Municipality's only upper secondary school (grades 7-9). The school building was renovated in 2010 and underwent extension and renovation works during 2015/2016. It currently houses approximately 440 students distributed across 19 classes (autumn term 2026) in four home bases, with the adapted primary school primarily conducting teaching in its own home base.

Our vision is "Accessibility for everyone's right to develop." Teaching is adapted to the needs of the students, and we teach based on subject areas. As a teacher at our adapted primary school, you will be part of a work team with teachers and student assistants. Conferences, APTs, and other professional development activities are held jointly with both the regular primary school and the adapted primary school.

Job Responsibilities

We are primarily seeking a special needs teacher with qualifications to teach in adapted primary school. If you are a certified teacher for any of the primary school grades with interest, experience, and equivalent qualifications, you are warmly welcome to apply, as personal suitability weighs heavily in this role.

As one of three teaching teachers, you are responsible for Natural Science (NO) teaching and serve as a resource in other subjects. There is also an opportunity to teach Home Economics and Visual Arts.

The position is a permanent employment with a start date of August 11th. The working hours are 80–100% depending on the applicant's preference. A shared mentorship role with two teaching colleagues is included in the position.

Qualifications

You have clear leadership skills and work to ensure that teaching is accessible to all students. You base your teaching planning on the needs of the group and the individual. You have good collaboration skills and wish to develop and improve the school's operations and results together with your colleagues. Applicants must have the prescribed teacher education and certification for the position. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, and the role requires flexibility based on student needs.
