About the workplace

The municipalities of Töreboda and Gullspång have decided to collaborate within the environmental and building sector and are in the startup phase of creating a completely new environmental and building department. The department is responsible for the municipalities' regulatory activities within the environmental and building sector, as well as measurement, mapping, GIS, and the examination and supervision of alcohol and tobacco sales. We are looking for five Environmental and Health Protection Inspectors who will jointly be responsible for the department's commitments within the environmental and health protection sector.

Job Responsibilities

As an Environmental and Health Protection Inspector, you will primarily work with case processing and supervision within the Environmental Code and other environmental and protection legislation. You will plan your tasks, conduct supervision, carry out inspections, write reports and decisions, among other things. You will present cases to the Environmental and Building Committee. The department is responsible for the entire municipality's environmental and health protection work, as well as the processing and supervision of the sale of alcohol, tobacco, and over-the-counter medicines.

The areas listed above are those for which the department is responsible. The positions may potentially be combined across several areas depending on experience, competence, and interest.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a relevant university/college education in environmental and health protection or other education that the employer deems equivalent, and have work experience within the environmental and health protection sector.

You have good ability to communicate clearly in speech and writing, are service- and solution-oriented with a professional and adapted approach. You take great personal responsibility and work independently and without hierarchy in a group.

The position involves a lot of contact with businesses, citizens, decision-makers, and others, and it is important that you are confident in your role and have an open attitude and positive mindset.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and the possibility of combining the five positions. We are currently shaping a completely new environmental department with the goal of assembling a team with varying backgrounds, competencies, and experiences. We envision that the positions may be fairly broad within the environmental sector; therefore, we would like you to describe your main area in your application, as well as which areas within environmental and health protection you are interested in working in and developing within, if possible.

A B-class driver's license is required.

As an Environmental and Health Protection Inspector, you can expect a salary between approximately 36,000 - 48,000 SEK depending on experience and competence, with individual salary setting applied.
