1 position(s).

Are you a team player?

Do you want to step into a role where clarity and communication, lack of hierarchy, and collaboration are your guiding stars?

In the Functional Support Department, we provide support to children and adults according to the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and SoL (Social Services Act). Our mission is to create conditions for participation, development, and security – always based on the individual's own needs and rights. The department consists of 7 areas.

We are now looking for an Operations Manager for LSS Housing Area 1, focusing on children's housing and short-term care for children.

LSS Housing Area 1 offers:

  • Children's Housing for children and young people up to 21 years old who need care, security, and support around the clock. Here, we collaborate with relatives, schools, and other key actors.
  • Youth Leisure and Youth Weekends where young people between 13–21 years old get a safe meeting place with activities and community.
  • Short-term Housing for both children and adults, where the stay is adapted to the individual's needs.
  • Group and Service Housing. Here we offer secure care and individual support for adults. Self-determination is central.

Your Role

In the role of Operations Manager, you lead the operations with full responsibility for:

  • personnel, working environment, operations, and economy
  • budgeting and planning
  • inspiring, supporting, and developing your employees
  • driving quality work and long-term development
  • shaping strategic issues together with the Area Manager, fellow managers, and employees

You have freedom under responsibility and plan your days based on the needs of the operations and your employees. As you surely know; sometimes it is calm, and sometimes it feels like everything is happening at once. Regardless, your commitment to LSS or to the people the operations exist to serve will not waver.

You report directly to the Area Manager, Susanne – who says:

"In my team, I value positivity, transparency, teamwork, and open dialogue. If you are open, engaged, forward-looking, non-hierarchical, and secure enough to be yourself – then I believe our interaction will work really well, from day one."
- Susanne, Area Manager

Your Background

You are the one who, through both studies and experience, has found your home in the LSS world. With your relevant university degree and years of work with the target group, you have acquired an understanding that goes beyond the theoretical — you know what daily life actually looks like for those you meet.

You have several years of experience as a manager with responsibility for personnel, operations, and budget, and you are well aware of what it means; to make a difference, create structure, security, and direction. You have worked with children within LSS and know the legislation, use it, and let it guide your decisions.

You are a present manager who moves between your operations and our management offices on Fyrisborgsgatan. There, you catch up on what is happening and contribute to development and a good work climate. You are the leader who can both take initiative and drive development forward, possessing the combination of drive, care, and direction that makes others eager to follow you. You find it natural to work together with others and are confident in yourself when working independently.

You express yourself clearly and distinctly in Swedish, whether you are talking to an employee or writing a document. You use digital systems daily; you see them as tools that simplify the task.

If you welcome innovation and have worked with similar assignments or driven quality and development issues, you possess experience that makes you even more equipped for the next step.

If you want to make a real difference together with us, send in your application!

With us, you get leadership development, competence development, a good introduction, and opportunities to grow.
