We are looking for you to become part of the team around our client, a happy 13-year-old boy. He laughs easily and is full of energy, so expect lots of play both indoors and outdoors.

On some days he has less energy; then we take it easier, perhaps watch a movie and relax. Always under your supervision as an assistant, as the client has autism, intellectual disability, and epilepsy. Therefore, he requires constant and active supervision. There is a dog in the home, so you must not be allergic or afraid of dogs.

About the position

The client has no spoken language and communicates in his unique way through body language and various sounds. Therefore, it is important that you, as his assistant, are attentive and perceptive so you can understand him. He understands when you speak and enjoys communicating with you. He needs a lot of training to develop his hearing and language skills, so it is important that you speak good Swedish and are talkative. It is important that you are positive and want to help him in his development!

As an assistant for this client, you need to be calm, stress-resistant, responsible, patient, and meticulous. You also need to be stable and confident in yourself. It is also important that you are flexible and can adapt to the client's energy levels from day to day. It is appreciated if you retain a childlike spirit, can be open and genuine, and have your own drive to come up with activities that give our client a valuable daily life and opportunities for development.

The assistant's role and experience

Since our client has various medications and a feeding tube via a button on his stomach, it is good if you have experience with this, but it is not a requirement. Manual lifting is also part of the client's daily life, so a strong physique is beneficial. We are looking for someone with a heart in the right place who wants to develop together with our client. You need to be flexible regarding working hours because we in the work group cover staffing if someone gets sick or is on vacation – we support our client and each other.

You will work with the client on weekdays after school ends, on school holidays, weekends, and during awake nights. You will receive a thorough introduction to the work together with the team leader.

It is important that you can read and speak Swedish fluently, but that you and the client are a good match is absolutely the most important thing.

Desirable experience

• Disability care, experience in caregiving.

Working hours/employment percentage

• Part-time 50%
• Start immediately.
• It is important to be able to work awake nights, with hours distributed across all hours of the day.

About salary

• We apply salary according to the Fremia collective agreement.
