The Medical Technology Systems unit within the Digitalization Department is responsible for managing systems that are directly crucial for the functioning of healthcare – for example, systems for laboratory analysis, ambulance electronic patient records, and image processing for X-rays. We collaborate daily with engineers, technicians, healthcare staff, and suppliers to ensure continuous operation while also developing future healthcare solutions.
We are looking for
We are in an exciting phase where we are establishing a team of systems specialists in medical technology systems – and now we are looking for you who want to work operationally as a systems specialist while simultaneously taking on a team leadership role. In this position, you will combine practical system administration work with creating structure, developing working methods, and coordinating the team's work.
For the role, we see that you have the following qualifications:
- A technical university or college degree in IT or medical technology; for example, systems science, medical technology engineering, or equivalent education or experience as assessed by the employer
- Experience in leading, coordinating, or driving work in teams, for example as a team leader, project leader, Scrum Master, or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience working with technical system administration or similar IT tasks
- Good language skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
It is also meritorious if you have:
- Experience with agile working methods
- Experience with ITIL and pm3
You are self-motivated, structured, and responsible, and have an aptitude for creating clarity and progress. You thrive in team collaboration, contribute to a good team spirit, and have a good ability to lead, support, and coordinate others in daily work.

What you will work with
As a team-leading systems specialist in medical technology systems, you work both operationally with system administration and by coordinating the team's joint work. You operate at the intersection of medical technology and IT and have a broad understanding of systems as well as a holistic view of how they interact and integrate with each other.
Your tasks will include, among other things:
- Working operationally with system administration, such as incident, problem, and change management
- Conducting technical tests, verifications, and deployments
- Planning, coordinating, and following up on the team's work based on decided priorities and goals
- Ensuring that the team's backlog is clear, prioritized, and followed up on
- Developing and maintaining working methods, routines, documentation, and common processes
- Leading team meetings and contributing to a good work climate, collaboration, and joint progress

Information about the position
The position is a permanent full-time employment located in Luleå, but part of the work will be carried out at Sunderby Hospital. The regular working hours are during daytime, Monday - Friday. Start date by agreement. Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, and the positions may be filled before the last application date.
The title in the employment contract is System Administrator. The role entails a assignment as a team-leading systems specialist within Medical Technology Systems.
Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreement.
