We are launching a new department at Björkhaga Elderly Care Facility and are now looking for nursing assistants for night shifts at Björkhaga Elderly Care Facility within the Social Welfare Sector.

In the community of Järpås, approximately 2 miles south of Lidköping, lies Björkhaga Elderly Care Facility. With both train and bus connections, there is an opportunity to work at an elderly care facility in the Lidköping countryside.

Job Responsibilities

Working in elderly care during night shifts means providing residents with individually adapted care, service, and performing delegated health care interventions. The work also involves handling security alarms, which means no two nights are the same. You may need to switch gears and prioritize quickly – and that is exactly what makes the work so lively and meaningful.

You are part of a close collaboration with colleagues, relatives, and other healthcare professionals – always with the individual's needs in focus. You document interventions and follow up on implementation plans according to current routines to ensure quality, continuity, and individual adaptation.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently but also values strong teamwork. You are responsive, responsible, and have a genuine commitment to people. You enjoy variety, are flexible, and can handle working in an environment where you sometimes need to make quick decisions.

Who are you

We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their tasks with the resident's best interests in focus and who is keen on completing the work they have started.

You work independently and have the ability to make your own decisions when the work requires it. The position places high demands on flexibility, the ability to plan and structure work, and good collaboration skills with your colleagues and other professionals you meet in your work.

Requirements:

To be employed in the role of nursing assistant, you need to attach proof of protected professional title or a certificate from your current employer with your application, confirming that you had/had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023.

• Proficiency in Swedish in speech and writing, as well as good reading comprehension.
• Basic digital competence.

Merits:

• Care and nursing college diploma.
• Experience in similar work and/or education in dementia care.

• Experience working with dementia.

Other

We are looking for a night nursing assistant for Björkhaga Elderly Care Facility. The position is a permanent employment with 100% engagement, with the possibility of desired engagement level.

Your employment will be within the Social Welfare Sector of Lidköping Municipality, which means that you may be assigned to work at units other than Björkhaga Elderly Care Facility.

Selection, interviews, and reference checks are conducted continuously during the recruitment period.

Salary range: We apply individual and differentiated salary setting. For the position, the monthly salary is between 26,500 – 35,000 SEK depending on experience, education, and competence.

Extract from the Criminal Record

Before offering employment, you as a candidate are required to present an extract from the criminal record for work in any of the following areas; school or preschool, work with children in other activities than school and childcare, work with children according to LSS, work at or in connection with HVB homes (residential homes for youth), work with the elderly or people with disabilities. You order the extract via the Police website. The extract must be presented before employment can begin.
