Temporary Psychologist at Sävar Health Centre

Primary Care Area North consists of the health centres in Ersboda, Mariehem, Sävar, and Robertsfors. This position is based at Sävar Health Centre. Part-time work at other units within Primary Care Area North may also become relevant.

Sävar Health Centre offers good healthcare to the population in the district, located 15 km north of Umeå. The area is home to 6,600 people, of whom 2,650 live in the town of Sävar. At the health centre, more than 20 experienced employees with broad competence in healthcare work together. We have a good working atmosphere and are eager for change and new ideas.

Key areas of development right now include needs-adapted healthcare services and the development of digital services. We work on continuously improving the work environment, both physically and psychosocially.

Job Description

As a psychologist with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement, helping people feel safe.

We collaborate closely with other professional groups at the health centre regarding, among other things, the sick leave process and other rehabilitation for individuals with mental illness and/or chronic pain.

As a psychologist, you conduct psychological assessments, group therapy, shorter individual treatments, neuropsychiatric screenings, and internet-based CBT. We serve as the first line in the care chain for mild to moderate mental illness in both children, young people, and adults. We work to help patients with their behavior-related health issues.

Supervision of students from the Psychology Program and PTP (Post-Graduate Training in Psychology) psychologists is included in the role.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist with a CBT focus. We would like you to have experience leading group therapy as well as assessing and treating primarily adults, but also children and adolescents. You are accustomed to making your own decisions/assessments and are expected to contribute to development work. Primary care experience is meritorious. You who are currently studying for PTP also have the opportunity to apply for the position.

You have a good ability to work independently as well as collaborate with other professions and actors, are flexible, and take responsibility.

Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-09-01. Full-time or part-time 80% according to agreement, ending: 2027-08-31.
