The Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology (CFOG) Västerbotten is a county organization with a total of approximately 250 employees, where units at the county's three hospitals are included and collaborate. CFOG is a University Hospital unit and conducts research in collaboration with Umeå University.

CFOG has a working method characterized by county-wide process orientation, and the hospitals in the county jointly ensure that people in Västerbotten have access to specialist maternity care, delivery, neonatal care, neonatal home care, gynecological outpatient clinic, gynecological surgery, tumor surgery, and robotic surgery.

CFOG is now seeking a Senior Consultant or Specialist Physician with on-call competence for Umeå.

The unit performs approximately 1,800 deliveries per year and is also the center for prematurity from week 22 in the entire northern healthcare region. It also houses a Gynecological Outpatient Clinic, which is a university clinic with teaching responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Consultant/Specialist Physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel secure.

You primarily work with patient responsibility, which means you are responsible for medical investigations, assessments, and treatments of patients. You work in teams consisting of knowledgeable colleagues, providing opportunities for continuous knowledge and experience exchange.

As a Senior Consultant/Specialist Physician with on-call competence, you have significant responsibility for the supervision and support of Specialty Training (ST) physicians as well as specialists. You also lead the medical work at the clinic through collaboration within the medical group. We work with job rotation, which means our physicians can serve on more than one department within the unit.

We offer a varied job where you have the prerequisites to influence the direction of the operations depending on interest, experience, and competence. You are expected to drive and participate in change and improvement work where patient flows and processes are in focus. You are active in the education of students and future specialists.

The role also includes administrative work and on-call duties. Travel within the county may be included.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a Specialist Physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology with good clinical knowledge in all parts of the specialty, where you have worked as a specialist in the area for at least 5 years. You work today, or have worked, as an on-call physician within Swedish women's healthcare.

Verification of medical license and all relevant specialist certificates via the National Board of Health and Welfare (HOSP) as well as information retrieval from IVO will take place when the application is received.

Employment type: Permanent.
Duration: Permanent, start date: According to agreement. The position is full- or part-time according to preference. However, at least 75%.
Working hours: Schedule.
