Job Description

As a personal assistant, you provide support and service according to the user's individual needs and wishes, as outlined in implementation plans. You carry out daily, planned support measures and activities together with the user. The support measures should promote the user's integrity and participation and are carried out with respect for the user's self-determination.

The user's needs are at the center. The user receives support and the right to decide over their own life and to develop their abilities to live as independently as possible. The work is based on a pedagogical and motivating approach in close collaboration with the user's network and other staff.

Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, and night.

Qualifications

It is desirable that you have education within care and nursing, e.g., the Upper Secondary School Care and Nursing Program or the Child and Leisure Program with a focus on disabilities or social work. Merit points are given for knowledge/experience of intellectual disability, autism, and knowledge/experience of challenging behavior and low-affective handling.

You have very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Great importance is attached to personal suitability in relation to the care recipient.

You are solution-focused and able to work independently. You are responsible, reliable, and skilled at building good relationships, while supporting the user to ensure they have a good daily life.

Computer skills are a requirement as all documentation is digital.

A driver's license for manual transmission and access to your own car are required, as you will work outside the central town and use the user's car.
