Your new job

Here, you will work with language-developing approaches focusing on students' language comprehension, vocabulary, and concept development – especially important in the early school years. We work together to create the best possible teaching where collaboration between teachers and operations is central. The goal is to provide students with good opportunities for learning and equal education, basing our efforts on analyzed developmental needs.

We have a special focus on accessible teaching and creating learning environments that meet all students' different needs and backgrounds. You will be part of a teaching group led by a lead teacher, where you will jointly develop teaching and strengthen collegial learning.

We are currently implementing IBIS – Inclusive Behavioral Support in Schools. This is a preventive and structured approach aimed at creating a secure study environment, clear expectations, and a positive school climate. IBIS is built on the entire school working together with clear rules, positive reinforcement, and early interventions.

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, conducting, and following up on teaching in accordance with the curriculum and other regulatory documents. You will become part of a work team where collaboration is a key part of the assignment.

You actively work to develop students' knowledge, skills, and confidence in their own abilities. You value good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues and contribute to a secure and pleasant school environment that promotes learning and development.

Welcome to us

Södergårdsskolan in Huskvarna is a preschool to grade 6 school with approximately 440 students. The school is located on Söders höjder, surrounded by beautiful nature. Our school buildings were constructed in 1911 and 1921 and have been carefully renovated and are heritage-listed (K-märkta).

With us, we prepare students for a future in a changing world. We create good conditions for security, learning, and health. Södergårdsskolan is an inclusive school where all students are given the opportunity to develop based on their prerequisites and in community with others.

Your qualifications

• Educated teacher with teacher certification for grades Preschool-3 (F-3) or 4-6, or alternatively a candidate who has not yet received their teacher certification or is at the end of their education.
• Well-grounded in the primary school's mission and its regulatory documents.
• Meritorious with experience in teaching and working with students.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
• Basic IT skills.
