We are looking for new assistant nurses/care assistants for Åkerbohemmet in Löttorp

Åkerbohemmet is a special housing facility for care and support located in Löttorp on northern Öland. Åkerbohemmet has 32 places distributed across four units with space for eight people each. Three of the units are designated for residents with dementia.

Our focus is person-centered care and support, where the elderly, relatives, and close ones should feel at home in a welcoming environment, experiencing community and participation. Our goal is to create security, well-being, and trust by being a support in everyday life. We want each individual to receive good care based on their needs and personal wishes, surrounded by competent staff.

During 2026, a working time reduction project is underway at Åkerbohemmet, meaning you will work 90% of full-time but receive 100% salary. The project aims for a better work environment and increased recovery through a more sustainable working time.

Job Responsibilities

You will work with care and support tasks in special housing. Your responsibilities also include being a designated care contact, creating and following up on implementation plans, and documenting in the journal system Life Care, among other tasks.

You work in accordance with the Social Services Act (SoL), but also perform health and medical care tasks (HSL assignments) after delegation from licensed personnel. Good treatment and attitude are an important part of the work. We continuously work with quality improvement, and our guiding words are security, respect, and meaningfulness.

Working hours are distributed across day, evening, and weekend shifts. You have the opportunity to propose your own schedule within given frameworks, and there is an opportunity for weekend work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse/care assistant or have equivalent education, and who have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

  • A rehabilitative approach.
  • The ability to take responsibility for your tasks and take initiative.
  • Necessary computer skills, preferably in Life Care.

Experience with dementia care, BPSD, and care plans is meritorious. Personal suitability is highly valued.
