About the Role

The Urban Development Administration aims to make accessible, maintain, manage, and develop the municipality's physical environment, infrastructure, and transport with a forward-looking spirit. The administration's work is characterized by collaboration, a holistic perspective, and efficient resource utilization. Through good planning, the administration contributes to an attractive living environment that is long-term sustainable from both ecological and social and economic perspectives.

The Urban Development Administration consists of the following areas of operation: Physical Planning, Water, Sewage and Waste, Streets, Parks and Forests, and Properties, Environment and Building. The Project and Investment Unit drives and coordinates the administration's new investments and reinvestments.

Responsibilities

As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for a work group of approximately 4–6 employees and contractors. You will plan, lead, and distribute tasks related to water and sewage in existing streets (replacement of existing pipes). You will also lead the construction of new streets as well as water and sewage works (new construction).

You perform economic controls and follow-ups, provide service to the municipality's clients as well as residents. Another major part of the job is ensuring that procedures are followed; you are responsible for the working environment of your subordinates. You are responsible for ensuring that we adhere to agreements with internal and external customers and that the collaboration works well between them.

On-call duty for team leaders, either within water and sewage or the winter organization, is included in the position.

Requirements

• You have at least a secondary education, preferably with a technical focus. Or another education or experience that the employer values as relevant and sufficient for the assignment.
• You have experience in road technology and road construction and have worked for a few years in water, sewage, land, and infrastructure as well as preventive road maintenance, ranging from minor repairs to major reconstructions. We also see that you have a few years of work experience primarily in water and sewage as well as stormwater.
• Knowledge of construction machinery and tools.
• Computer literacy and good knowledge of the Office package.
• Driver's license Category B.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.

As a Production Manager, you are clear and work with a clear goal focus and with great awareness of what works in practice, as well as with a genuine interest in service and development work. Since we work largely in collaboration, we place great emphasis on your teamwork skills. You have personal maturity and feel confident in yourself and in your professional role. The position requires that you are good at communicating and are responsive as you have a lot of contact with citizens.

Merits

• Industry experience through previous work as a water/sewage technician, pipe fitter, or operations technician.
• Water/Sewage Education: Post-secondary education in water/sewage technology, environmental technology, or infrastructure.
• Drawing Understanding: Experience in reading and interpreting utility maps and drawings.
• Certificates and Qualifications:
  • Work on Roads: Certification (APV 1 & 2) for safe work at road construction sites.
  • BAS U/BAS P: Training in Construction Environment Coordination for planning and execution.
  • Category B driver's license is a requirement; Category E is a plus.
  • Hot Work: Certificate for fire safety during welding or cutting.
  • PE Welding Training: Certification.
• Leadership experience such as team leader, project manager, or group manager.
• Knowledge of contract law, standard contracts in the industry, such as AB 04 or ABT 06.
• Experience with budgeting, ETA (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) work, or invoice management.
