The role of Child Health Nurse / District Nurse within Child Health Care

As a nurse within Child Health Care, your duties involve comprehensive health and prevention work for children aged 0–6 years. You will work according to the Child Health Care program, which focuses on vaccinations, lifestyle habits, and early detection. This includes running your own clinics, team visits with doctors, home visits, and leading parent groups.

You will work at a Family Center, where you are part of a team that addresses the entire family's need for advice and support. This involves collaboration with the Family Center's counselor during home visits, care planning, and parent support groups together with other professionals at the center. We collaborate with preschools, special educators, speech therapists, and dietitists. Within the unit, we constantly engage in improvement and development work where everyone is involved.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date as agreed. The location is Nässjö.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with further education in health and medical care for children and adolescents, or alternatively a District Nurse. Since travel is part of the role, a driver's license is required.
