Group Home Lästgränd is located in Gislaved. The operation is for people with disabilities and care needs. The residents of the group home have decisions according to the Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS).

This advertisement concerns night staff, but day and evening shifts are also included in the position.

Responsibilities

Together with other employees, you work to make everyday life meaningful, clear, and rich in content for the residents. You will support and guide the residents in personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, laundry, social contacts, and communication.

An important part of the work is to stimulate and motivate the residents to develop their abilities and to create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time, so they can live like others based on their conditions. You adapt the environment based on the residents' needs and prerequisites. The work is based on individual implementation plans.

The responsibilities also include IT-based documentation and administration, as well as delegated health and medical care tasks. The work may include activities such as bathing, walks, cinema visits, coffee breaks, dancing, concerts, and stable visits, all based on the residents' interests and abilities.

Other tasks associated with the group home itself include: cleaning, laundry, coordinating activities, and maintaining good dialogue with other operations.

Work tools that will be used include: PFA (pedagogical approach and working method), communication aids, visual supports, sensory stimulation, and more.

Qualifications

Support Pedagogue: Support Pedagogue education with a focus on the disability area.

Support Assistant: Care and Nursing Programme with a focus on psychiatry, the disability area, or the Child and Youth Programme with a focus on social or pedagogical work.

Alternatively: Behavioral scientist, treatment pedagogue, social pedagogue, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

Your collaboration is deeply linked to your ability to cooperate and participate in the development of yourself and the operation. At our workplace, this means that you have good cooperation with managers and colleagues, both at your own workplace and within the rest of the municipal group. You treat everyone with a high level of service, kindness, and high quality through a customer and service focus. You take responsibility for participating in operational matters and are solution-oriented.

Experience regarding the target group is required for the position, as well as a B-driver's license and swimming skills.

We apply register control (extract from the criminal record) as a form of suitability testing for all who are offered employment in operations where there is direct and regular contact with children and young people.
