Vadstena is an attractive municipality located on the beautiful Östgötaslätten plain, overlooking Lake Vättern. Here you will find a unique historical environment dating back to the Middle Ages. The Property and Development Department works with the operation and maintenance of streets and parks, planning and coordination for infrastructure expansion, sale of land for housing and industry, as well as purchase of land for future developments. The department manages and maintains all municipal properties and their outdoor environments, provides operational support and caretaking services at schools, preschools, elderly care facilities, and sports arenas, handles harbor operations and rental of boat spaces as well as municipal bathing areas. The department currently consists of 21 employees.

Job Responsibilities
In the role of Operations Caretaker / Repair Technician, you will work with ongoing maintenance and repairs, primarily in our municipal schools and preschools. You will have a flexible working situation where you independently plan and carry out your work. You are responsible for planning and executing repairs and ongoing maintenance based on received fault reports and orders, maintaining close coordination with other repair technicians and property caretakers, and reporting to the Property Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
- Receive fault reports and follow up with the person who submitted the report.
- Assemble furniture.
- Maintain general supervision of schoolyards.
- Perform urgent or planned repairs.
- Provide operational support and act as a visible creator of security.
- Order materials for the execution of repairs and maintenance.
- Conduct property rounds/inspections.
Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
- You have an education at least at the upper secondary level or other experience that we assess as equivalent.
- You have a few years of practical experience in the construction or property industry.
- You have undergone some form of property technical education in construction, electrical, and plumbing (HVAC/plumbing).
- You have technical knowledge and a good understanding of property technical systems and installations.
- You have the ability to find solutions to problems that arise.
- You can work independently and take initiative.
- You must have a driver's license with at least a B-category and good computer/IT skills.
- Electrical competence is meritorious.
