A smart and meaningful choice

Here is your chance to work as an industrial mechanic in a future-oriented industry where forestry, paper, and smart technology meet. You will become an important part of a modern and sustainable production process, where we think long-term – both regarding the environment and our employees. If you enjoy tinkering, troubleshooting, and improving, and thrive in a team where everyone helps each other, you will feel right at home here.

We are looking for someone who wants to ensure our facilities run stably, safely, and efficiently – and who finds a well-functioning fleet of machinery beautiful to behold.

About the role

As an industrial mechanic at Braviken Sawmill, you will be a key person in ensuring our production runs smoothly, safely, and cost-effectively. You work closely with production and technology, ensuring our facilities are in good shape – today, tomorrow, and in the long term.

  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment
  • Participate in planned shutdowns, conversions, and improvement projects at the facility
  • Contribute to increasing machine reliability, availability, and lifespan
  • Document completed work and contribute to smarter routines and working methods
  • Collaborate closely with operators, electricians, technicians, and external contractors
  • Actively work with safety, quality, and order & cleanliness in everything you do
  • Contribute ideas regarding continuous improvements, safety, and efficiency

Who we think you are

We are looking for someone who thrives in an industrial environment, enjoys practical work, and is good at collaborating. You like taking responsibility, but also being part of a team where everyone helps each other. You don't need to know everything from day one – the most important thing is your drive and willingness to learn. You stay calm when things get tough, are curious about technology, and enjoy days that are not exactly the same.

  • Experience as an industrial mechanic, maintenance mechanic, or similar role in industry
  • Good knowledge of mechanics, welding, hydraulics, and preferably basic knowledge of machining
  • Accustomed to reading drawings, manuals, and technical documentation
  • Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, as well as basic English
  • Category B driver's license and ability to commute to and from the workplace in Norrköping
  • Collaborative and comfortable with independent work
  • Education in industry, mechanics, maintenance, or similar relevant field
  • You have a structured working style and like order and cleanliness in the workshop

We make the forest grow and yield

Holmen's operations are based on the power found in the forest. The trees that grow, the water that rushes in the rivers, and the wind that blows in the treetops. This is the core of Holmen, a business built on the forest's cycle and the renewable products we can create from it. Our business areas are Forestry, Energy, Timber, Board, and Paper. We are 3,500 employees who create a sustainable future with courage, engagement, and responsibility.

Timber that builds the future

Holmen processes the future material timber, the only building material that is completely renewable. In modern sawmills, we produce sawn and processed timber for carpentry, construction industry, and building trade. Through Martinsons Byggsystem, which is part of Holmen, we offer customer-adapted solutions for climate-smart and large-scale timber construction. Our production facilities are located in Braviken, Iggesund, Linghem, Bygdsiljum, and Kroksjön, near our forest holdings in both the north and south. In total, we are about 700 employees.
