Stockholm – our capital city filled with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and different with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Welcome to us
Welcome to Beckombergaskolan. We are a school for grades F-6 with approximately 500 students. The school is located on the outskirts of Bromma with a green and beautiful schoolyard and fresh school facilities. We are organized into work teams where each grade level is a team, but we do much together and strive for a strong sense of 'we' in both school and after-school care.
On the schoolyard, we have a shed where students can borrow balls, jump ropes, and other items so that we have movement activities during breaks. We have our own kitchen and usually serve three different dishes per day and have a large and varied salad bar.
Your role
As a childcare assistant (barnskötare) with us, you make an important contribution to the daily work of teaching in both school and after-school care. Together with other colleagues, you contribute to a safe, positive, meaningful, and developing environment for all our students, both individually and in groups. You work from a full-day perspective where school, break activities, and after-school care are all equally important for students to achieve their goals. You support individual students and entire student groups during the school day in teacher-led instruction, and you plan and carry out activities at the after-school center in collaboration with the school's teachers.
As a childcare assistant with us, you act in accordance with the curriculum, set goals, policies, and guidelines.
Your skills and experience
Right now, we are looking for two childcare assistant substitutes for the autumn term. One of the positions is full-time, the other is 75%.
We are looking for you who have:
- A childcare assistant education or other pedagogical education assessed by the employer as equivalent.
- Experience working in primary school and at after-school care centers.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language and the ability to communicate well in both speech and writing.
- Experience working with students with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NPF).
As a person, you are engaged, flexible, and independent. You have a clear focus on children and an interest in contributing to their development and learning. We are looking for you who have a positive attitude in your work and towards your work team. You are clear in your communication and can adapt to the recipient. You have good cooperation skills and collaborate with children, colleagues, and guardians in a sensitive and professional manner.
We will place great emphasis on personal suitability, motivation, and commitment to the position.
The City of Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment aimed at considering each person's competence and thereby combating discrimination.
To work at our schools, you must present a valid extract from the police criminal record and suspicion register before an offer of employment is made.
Within the Education Administration, we apply individual salary setting regulated by HÖK and General Provisions (AB).
