Location: Gothenburg · Position: Full-time, Permanent

Do you want to use your experience in traffic planning to create competitive traffic solutions in large tender projects? Vy is now looking for a Traffic Developer within Tenders in Gothenburg – a role for you who enjoys analysis, systems, collaboration, and traffic solutions that both win business and work in reality.

This is a role for you who wants to make a real impact without leaving the hands-on work of traffic planning behind. You will work in tender projects where schedules, requirements, calculations, and traffic solutions need to align – and where your work has a direct impact on Vy's future business.

You will become part of a competent and supportive team of traffic planners and developers who work together, share knowledge, and complement each other. You will also join our tender team, which together creates Vy's future business. Here you will find specialist competence, strong camaraderie, and high ambitions.

The role is based at Gothenburg Central Station, with office attendance of approximately three days per week.

About Vy

Vy is part of the Vy Group, one of the leading mobility companies in the Nordics. In Sweden, Vy operates contracted line traffic, express bus traffic, and airport bus traffic – with approximately 1,900 employees across large parts of the country.

At Vy, things happen every day. Traffic must work here and now. Drivers should have a sustainable daily life. Passengers should arrive safely and on time. Clients should feel confident.

The culture is characterized by warmth, helpfulness, and low pretension – combined with clear goals, strong drive, and high ambitions regarding development, quality, and results.

The Role in Practice

As a Traffic Developer within Tenders, you will play a key role in Vy's tender work. You will analyze request documents, interpret requirements, and design traffic solutions that are both competitive and feasible to produce.

A key part of the role involves finding the right balance between quality, scoring, cost, risk, and feasibility.

You will work in a project format, often with clear deadlines and multiple involved functions. In some projects, you may have the role of sub-project leader for the traffic section, while in others, you will be a vital part of the traffic team.

In this role, you will:

  • Analyze request documents, traffic requirements, and evaluation models
  • Develop traffic setups, line structures, and overarching timetable solutions
  • Work in HASTUS with planning, analysis, and traffic solutions
  • Ensure that the proposed traffic is realistic to produce
  • Coordinate the traffic solution with calculations, resource allocation, and other parts of the tender
  • Contribute to implementation projects after winning tenders

This suits you if you enjoy combining traffic planning with strategic work – and thrives when working on a project basis. You need to be able to dive into systems, details, and regulations, but also understand the big picture and how different solutions affect the business.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for you who have experience in traffic planning, traffic development, or similar within public transport. You are accustomed to working in systems, analyzing different solutions, and understanding how planning affects operations, quality, and economics.

You do not need to have worked with tenders before, but it is highly meritorious if you have experience in tender work, procurement, or traffic solutions related to public transport business.

We believe you have:

  • Experience in traffic planning, traffic development, or similar
  • Good knowledge of HASTUS
  • Understanding of line traffic, timetables, resource allocation, and traffic production
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with complex data
  • Understanding of business, quality, cost, and feasibility
  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English

It is meritorious if you have knowledge of the Working Hours Act, the BBA agreement, the Office package, and/or previous experience from tender projects within public transport.

As a person, you are structured, responsible, and collaborative. You enjoy solving problems together with others, but are also confident in taking individual responsibility for your delivery.

You thrive in projects where many perspectives need to be weighed together. You can meet deadlines, communicate clearly, and contribute to creating solutions that hold up – both in the tender and in reality afterwards.

Why Work With Us?

This is a role for you who wants responsibility, specialist depth, and significant business impact.

At Vy, you will work closely with traffic, business, and operations. What you do can influence which contracts Vy wins, how traffic is designed, and how well it works for passengers, drivers, and clients.

You will also become part of a team where we learn from each other. There is much experience here, and a culture where it is natural to ask, share experiences, and help each other to deliver together.

Vy has collective agreements and offers market-competitive terms. The salary is set individually based on your experience, competence, and match with the role.
