About the role Wrknest Engineering is currently seeking an Engineering Contractor/KMA (Quality, Environment, and Safety) professional who wishes to develop in a broad and educational role within the railway industry. At ABR Mark & Järnväg, you will have the opportunity to work in a small company with real influence, close to experienced site managers and project managers, while building your competence in project management, economics, quality, environment, and workplace safety.

This role suits you if you have a technical education and want to gain a holistic understanding of how infrastructure projects are driven from the bidding phase to completion. You will be involved in several parts of the projects and gradually take on more responsibility as you grow into the role.

The job offers an environment where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and development are in focus. Here you will have the opportunity to work on projects that contribute to the development of society's infrastructure while building a stable foundation for your continued career.

Your future responsibilities

As an Engineering Contractor, you will support site managers and the project organization in administrative, technical, and KMA-related matters. You will also have close collaboration with the company's CEO. You will have a varied daily routine where you alternate between working on-site in projects and administrative tasks.

You will, among other things:

  • Support site managers in project follow-up and administration
  • Participate in bidding work and document management
  • Follow up on project economics and schedules
  • Participate in planning and coordination of projects
  • Assist in preparing work preparations, risk assessments, and control plans
  • Be a support in matters concerning quality, environment, and workplace safety
  • Participate in safety rounds, safety reviews, and project meetings
  • Compile reports and project documentation
  • Maintain ongoing contact with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Work with drawings, technical documents, and other project documentation
  • Assist in the preparation and follow-up of calculations in the long term

We are looking for someone who has

  • A university or college education in, for example, construction technology, civil engineering, road and water, or equivalent
  • A strong interest in infrastructure and the earthworks and construction industry
  • Some years of work experience in construction, earthworks, infrastructure, or project activities, or relevant internship or trainee experience
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
  • B-driver's license

We consider the following to be meritorious

  • Experience from construction/earthworks or infrastructure projects, preferably within railways
  • Experience from a role as project engineer, engineering contractor, foreman, or KMA coordinator
  • Knowledge of contract law
  • Experience with calculation or planning tools
  • Knowledge in quality, environment, and workplace safety issues

To thrive in this role, we believe you are curious, responsible, and driven by learning new things. You thrive in a smaller company and enjoy collaborating with others, take initiative when needed, and have a structured way of working. At the same time, you have an interest in understanding both the technical and business aspects of a project.

Start: Immediately, subject to notice period

Location: Lerum. Travel within Sweden is included in the role

Scope: Full-time

Employment type: Permanent position with an initial probationary period
