About the Department

The Habilitation Service is a county-wide specialist operation located in five towns in Dalarna: Falun, Borlänge, Mora, Ludvika, and Avesta. Each unit offers Child and Adolescent Habilitation as well as Adult Habilitation. We work in cross-professional teams with medical, psychological, social, and pedagogical competence. The Habilitation Service has an important and challenging mission to make life more possible for children, adolescents, and adults with congenital or early-acquired disabilities, as well as for their relatives. The interventions aim to contribute to a functioning daily life, good quality of life, and participation in society.

Then the Child and Adolescent Habilitation Service is the workplace for you! The positions are permanent, and placement is possible at one of our clinics in the county. Do not hesitate to apply even if you are not yet a licensed psychologist, as we may offer a PTP (Post-Graduate Training in Psychology) position or a role as a psychological assistant. Interviews may begin during the advertising period.

Responsibilities

As a psychologist, you work in close collaboration with other professionals at the Habilitation Service. The work with us is varied as you are responsible for both psychological treatment, conducting assessments, diagnosing, performing functional evaluations, mapping needs, and providing individually tailored interventions. You will also provide therapeutic interventions, as well as education and support to the patient, relatives, staff, and others in the patient's network. You are offered an induction program, access to a mentor and supervisor, and you are part of a professional team together with psychologist colleagues in the operation. Travel to other clinics in the county may be included in the position, and these are made during working hours.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed psychologist. Alternatively, if you are not yet licensed, you can apply for a PTP position or as a psychological assistant. In this case, you should be undergoing training or have completed the psychology program.
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

Merits:

• Previous experience from habilitation services
• Knowledge of various disabilities
• Experience with interviews and assessments with good knowledge of test methodology
• Experience working with children
