At Region Dalarna, you will find meaningful work where you can make a difference. Together, we work towards a sustainable Dalarna with development potential in all parts of the county.
Do you want to make a real difference for children and young people in Leksand and Rättvik?
The counseling clinics for children and young people in Leksand and Rättvik offer a meaningful and varied position where you work closely with children, adolescents, and their families – focusing on early interventions and providing the right support at the right time. The clinics are part of Primary Care and offer early and accessible psychological interventions for children and young people up to the age of 17. The children and young people who come to us are initially triaged via "En väg in" (One Way In), which is a regional reception function. This means that needs and care levels have already been assessed in the first stage, giving you as a therapist a clear starting point in the meeting with the patient.
Currently, the clinics are staffed by a specialist nurse in psychiatry/CBT and a licensed psychotherapist with a CBT focus. We collaborate closely with school health services, social services, and other healthcare providers. The department is in a development phase, offering you the opportunity to actively contribute to shaping future ways of working. The health centers in Leksand and Rättvik operate within the framework of "Vårdval Primärvård Dalarna" (Primary Care Choice Dalarna), meaning the operations are covered by a formal mandate and agreement that governs how primary care is conducted, including aspects of supply, quality, and accessibility.
The position involves daytime work. Interviews will begin in week 34.
As a licensed psychologist, you will work with early interventions for the mental health of children and young people in primary care. The position is shared between the counseling clinics in Leksand and Rättvik, which means travel between the locations is part of the job. The work is varied and combines independent therapeutic work with close collaboration with other actors involved with the child and family. You also work in a team together with the clinic's therapists.
Together, you form a small team where you complement each other's competencies, collaborate on patients, and contribute to joint learning and the development of the department. You are responsible for preventing, identifying, and treating mental ill-health. The role includes conducting assessments, offering short-term treatment interventions, and following up on implemented measures. You work with both individual sessions and sessions involving relatives. The work covers a wide range of psychological issues, and you will encounter children and young people with various types of needs. Collaboration is a central part of the role, and you will regularly cooperate with schools, social services, child and adolescent psychiatry, and other relevant actors.
You actively contribute to the development of the department by participating in improvement work and the development of working methods and clinic content. The position also includes a generalist function, meaning you can work broadly within the health center's mandate and support various parts of the operation with your expertise when needed.
We are looking for a licensed psychologist with documented CBT competence who is confident in their professional role, has a strong interest in primary care, and is motivated by contributing to early interventions for the mental health of children and young people. Personal suitability is highly valued.
You are confident in your professional role and have a good ability to build trusting relationships and instill a sense of security when meeting with children, young people, and their families. You enjoy working both independently and collaboratively, where cooperation and good teamwork are a natural part of the job. Furthermore, you are flexible, development-oriented, and see opportunities in change and improvement work. You have good communication skills, actively contribute to the development of the department, and have a genuine interest in working with early interventions for the mental health of children and young people. Personal suitability will be given great weight.
This work involves direct and regular contact with children and/or young people. Before an employment offer can be made, you as an applicant must present an extract from the Police's criminal record register via a digital extract or in an unbroken envelope according to Law 2013:852 or 2000:873. More information can be found here: The Criminal Record Register - Request Extract (polisen.se) (https://polisen.se).
